Explore Leys Estate
Leys Estate lies to the north east of the town of Banchory nestled between the River Dee and the southern slopes of the Hill of Fare and is approximately 25km west of Aberdeen.
The map to the left shows the current boundary of Leys Estate. Note that Crathes Castle, the original Burnett family home, was gifted to the National Trust for Scotland in 1952. The Castle and surrounding policies and woodland are excluded from main Leys Estate area.
The Leys Estate Group also owns and manages land at Inchmarlo to the west of Banchory, which contains Inchmarlo Golf Centre with its 9-hole golf course and covered, floodlit driving range, and land to the north east of Torphins.
