Vacancy – Part-time Gallery Assistants

Since its beginnings in 1997, the Milton Art Gallery has exhibited a changing collection of original paintings from mainly Scottish artists alongside a wide range of prints, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, glass and occasionally pieces of artisan furniture.
We are seeking to recruit part-time assistants for our gallery at Milton of Crathes, Banchory. As gallery assistant you will provide administrative and creative support to the Gallery Manager and your responsibilities will include speaking with visitors, answering phone calls, coordinating events, working with gallery designers, and managing the gallery’s collection.
The ideal candidate will be flexible in their approach, have excellent customer service and communication skills, good attention to detail, and will be enthusiastic about providing the best visitor experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum 1.5 days per week from 9.30am to 4.30pm and this will include weekend work on a rota basis. Gallery experience and a knowledge of art would be beneficial but full training will be given.
