We were invited to showcase Leys Estate Group’s approach to community engagement at Scottish Land & Estate’s North East Members Regional Reception at Finzean Hall in November.

Leys Estate Group CEO, David Smart, delivered a presentation detailing how Leys Estate’s community engagement strategy and education strategy have both evolved and what we have learnt from the process.

David also touched on the affects of launching both during a unprecedented global pandemic and also how Estate’s who have access to a smaller amount of resources or time can still make a difference to how they engage with their key stakeholders within the community.

The event, ‘Engaging Our Communities’, attracted an audience of over 60 people who also heard from Malcolm Hay, Regional Chair of the Grampian Moorland Group who spoke about the ‘Estates That Educate’ programme.
