Leys Estate Delivers Christmas Surprise To Tenants
Members of staff from Leys Estate delivered two-course Christmas meals to a range of residential tenants this week.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus restrictions the Estate was unable to hold its annual Christmas celebrations for employees. Instead, it decided to use its Christmas party funds to support tenants, particularly those who may be unable to visit friends or family or may be shielding this Christmas.
The festive boxes, supplied by Banchory-based The Strong Water Company, included turkey with traditional trimmings and sticky toffee pudding.
Alexander Burnett, Chairman of the Leys Estate Group, said: “We are acutely aware that 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone.
“Our teams were unable to get together to celebrate as we normally would, so we decided to mark Christmas by sharing some festive spirit with people across the Estate.
“It was also important that we supported a local business which has done what it can to diversify and support the local community during these very different times.
“The hampers were very well received by our tenants and we thoroughly enjoyed personally delivering the unexpected surprise.”
