At the beginning of July, teams from across the Estate joined together to celebrate a very special retirement.

Jim Walker and wife Catherine joined everyone to raise a glass in celebration of his 48 years with Leys Estate.

Much to our delight we were able to keep the gathering under wraps and surprise Jim, whose extensive knowledge of the Estate along with his sense of humour and stories about the past 48 years will be missed.

Jim first started working for the Estate as part of the Estate Maintenance Team, which then evolved in to Banchory Contractors Limited where he continued to handle Estate maintenance needs amongst other contracts. Jim then returned to work directly on Leys Estate in 2016 until his retirement this year.

We wish Jim and Catherine a long and happy retirement as they relocate to spend more time with their family.
