Throughout 2023 we have been delighted to work with the children and teachers of Crathes Primary School on a wide range of projects.

The year ended with members of the Leys Estate team joining pupils to further develop the school’s current forest school area as pupils work towards their Junior Forester Award.

Following some ground work carried out by our Operations team to prepare the area, we joined the teachers and pupils to plant Rowan, Wild Cherry and Silver Birch trees which will eventually form the extended forest school area.

The children will regularly monitor how the trees develop and how the surrounding environment and wildlife adapts to the changes.

Thank you to everyone at Crathes Primary School for continuing to welcome members of the Leys Estate team to the school throughout the year and for including us in such a diverse and rewarding range of activities.
