Towards the end of 2023, we were delighted to welcome the Scottish Land & Estates’ team to Banchory to record our very first podcast.

The podcast focuses on how the Estate has developed during the past 700 years, the team behind the scenes and the Estate’s passion for the future through its 2023-2028 Forward Strategy which was launched in September 2023.

In the second episode, Fiona Van Aardt from Scottish Land & Estates speaks to Mhairi Robertson, Land & Sustainability Manager, and Susanne Shepherd, Marketing & Communications Manager, to find out how each role has developed during their time at Leys Estate Group and how the organisation’s Forward Strategy has shaped the future of each role.

Mhairi discusses the estate’s renewed focus on land use and sustainability as well as the desire to leave a lasting legacy at Loch of Leys while Susanne gives an insight into the importance of the Group’s rebrand along with finding the confidence to engage with the local community and many organisations, schools and groups in and around Deeside and further afield.
