Towards the end of 2023, we were delighted to welcome the Scottish Land & Estates’ team to Banchory to record our very first podcast.

The podcast focuses on how the Estate has developed during the past 700 years, the team behind the scenes and the Estate’s passion for the future through its 2023-2028 Forward Strategy which was launched in September 2023.

In the first episode Fiona Van Aardt from Scottish Land & Estates speaks to David Smart, Chief Executive, and Alexander Burnett, Chairman. During this relaxed conversation at Banchory Business Centre we hear how the Estate has evolved, the significant positive impact the Estate has had on the Crathes and Banchory area, its commitment to providing sporting and recreational activities in the local area and the Estate’s aspirations for the future.
